All of their albums are worth hearing. I have this, The Mantle, and Pale Folklore all as 5's. One of the best metal bands without a doubt. Even Marrow of the Spirit is worth checking out, even if it was an extreme disappointment.

Both his cleans and shrieks are beautiful man.

i find the shrieks more distracting than anything. he's too dramatic, sounds like he's trying too hard. just me though.

I did love it when it came out, but it didn't last long on repeated listens, like I hoped it would. There's just too many flaws to put it up with their other 3 albums.

Yeah I got that impression too. I still think Marrow is a great addition to their other albums although I can see why it could throw some people off.

Marrow is only a disappointment because Agalloch can do better. Its still a solid album in its own
right. Its just that after 3 outstanding albums, it got hyped up too much.
