As great as this album is, it does not get close to CT for me.

Starting to see the Body Horror hype. Went from probably my least favorite next to Douchebag to a top 3 on here.
Love the spastic heavy stuff but this band shines the most when they dial it back

highs on celebrity are better than on here but this is the better album overall
nothing touches title track or star baby

Nope sorry, this is in 2.5/3 territory for me. Too breakdowny and draws too much from the kind of metalcore that I like the least. Glad y'all dig it though.

yeah, I’m definitely not having too “breakdowny” as a legit crit
probably one of my least prevailing negative thoughts if I were to form an orderly queue

“ Ah! YES SIR!!!”
for you the taste is so much better
than the pump.
fuckkkk I really wanna see these guys live but do I really wanna drive to fuckin indy. I don’t usually do this but I’ll probably look up what their setlist is when they start this tour and then decide.
If it’s mostly this I’d probably be down, if they play title track I’ll move fucking mountains to make it happen

In their AMA they said they'd be playing most of this on the headline tour. What else they'll also leave in, I don't know.
But yeah, they've only played Title Track at one show I've been at and that was one of the coolest things ever

I think I’ve also settled on how I feel about the last track… it’s disjointed. There’s so much to love about it, especially the last few minutes, which are absolutely fucking insane and some of the best shit this band has ever done.
I really can’t be the only one thinking that Bjork love letter is very out of place? Like I get it as far as the like, narrative of the whole album, but they should’ve cut that and maybe trimmed another minute or two off it. It’s a great song but goddamn is it flawed. The producer really should’ve stepped in and told them that it was a little ridiculous. I know the fantano heads probably love it but personally I don’t.

ETID is also too breakdowny for me. I have low breakdown tolerance, I lack the enzymes to digest them properly.

Disjointed? Yeah, ok, maybe. But disjointed in the best way.
And no, with as crazy as the song and album are, that part doesn't especially stand out to me at all (especially considering that section of the song goes: Mars Volta-Bjork-Sleepytime Gorilla Museum, it works to be pulling from other artists)

closer spends too much time rummaging around in the dark with one hand and trawling its y-fronts for a magical third testicle with the other agreed
