BFMV - frustrating but has some great music, Gravity in particular has about 4 songs I'll revisit regularly despite the hate it gets

Bat Country was in NHL 06 so I got to hear "TRYEEEE AIYEEEE AIYEEEE TO DRIVE ALL THROUGH THE NIEEEEEEEE" about 8 times a day for an entire year. Definitely contributed to my annoyance with this band back then.

This album is an absolute trip. Need to listen to it a bunch more for an actual rating, but I can say (O)rdinary is already in my Top 5 songs of the year. Is it basically Daft Punk? Hell yeah, but it is an absolute banger.

I mean the vocals on COE are largely a part of why I didn't give this band another chance for years, so it's valid.
Even the vocals on this one though, like I get why anyone would not be able to enjoy it just based on that, although I think it just doesn't help that the first few songs have the worst vocals, by Cosmic he sounds like he's doing shit that's much more in his limited range now and from there to the end between that and using effects wisely they're less off-putty and the vocals on the opening tracks kind of grow on you to a point at least.
Lmao I'm so mad because Nobody keeps getting stuck in my head because it's weirdly catchy as fuck but the vocals are so fuckin goofy ass awful I'll start laughing thinking about them.
We Love You as well, one of the coolest songs on here but it's hard not to imagine how much better the opening sections would be with stronger vocals. That middle section with the fat thrash riff and harsh vocals is sick as fuck and so unexpected tho (is that a guest vocal?)
