First time I heard the bass on Advent, I knew I was going to love this

It has some of the best acoustic work I've ever heard (outside of jazz).

Edit: the fretless bass lines are incredible as well.

To be honest the only song I don't dig as much is Nectar. The rest of the album is awesome.

well to each their own I guess. This is among one of their least accessible albums IMO. However it does show opeth at their greatest level of musicianship and musical versatility
