Meet Me at the Corner is best, I explode when Josh's part comes in (in the best way)

Oh man, Don't get me started on playing Psycho Sexy on Guitar, That outro just makes me feel like a God

it's all about the feeling he uses, they're not super technical or anything but you have to get the funk groove to make
them sound as good as he gets them to sound. and Funky Monks is gonna be next to learn, then I Could've Lied. Hell, I'm
just gonna learn how to play the whole album eventually if I can

the outro to Sir Psycho Sexy takes me to another planet yeah
|

@rowan - frusciante had/has a ton of technical ability but for the most part (especially on this, cali, btw) took a real 'less is more' approach... the beauty is in the simplicity of his playing and how it locks in with the bass
so yea basically playing along is so much fun cos you can just get deep in the groove and go hard
|
| |
a lot of influence from bernard sumner's playing in joy division

Ah yeah I see what you mean. He does have a shitton of groove on here which I love but I also love that crazy face-melting shit he did later a la Turn it Again
|
| |
yea stadium he just went for it and showed off basically
same with live shit
he's pulled out some amazing solos live
|
| |
Album Rating: 4.4
He's at his best when he tones things down at focuses more on vocals imo, in terms of his solo stuff obviously
But that's just me
|
| |
yea he's really good when the vox and guitar play off each other (niandra/record only water/curtains)
songs like anne and time tonight exemplify what i'm getting at
|
| |
Album Rating: 4.4
Anne is the best thing ev
