Just realized the song news is several pages back and I'm repeating known information. Whoops. Live version with Josh joining in on the chorus is better than the studio version though.

thanks for the tip, I will check the live one. Interesting that they didn't let him record vocals since they recently confirmed that he's an official member of the band now

Band absolutely slaps live. Courtney nails pretty much everything live and also is kinda sensual, knows what she's doing. Although the shows i've been to recently have been way more on the 50/50 of men and women which is cool. Been to some shows that have been total sausage fests in the past.

I think this band suffers from Code Orange Syndrome. Their strengths lie in the softer, more melodic sound and they'd be better off dropping the heavy stuff. Not only would they sound better, they'd be more commercially successful as well. Ultimate win-win scenario. A full album of songs like Secret Garden and Eternal Blue would be perfection.

I mostly agree. Wouldn't want them to do away with the heavy stuff entirely but tracks like Holy Roller are entirely unnecessary imo, and several heavy moments here felt like they were ticking a box rather than making the best choice for the songs.

Yeah their best tracks are softer sure but I like both. I don’t know that I would love 12 straight secret gardens

yeah i feel like zeroing in on any one aspect of their sound for a full length would get pretty monotonous. i appreciate that they tried to keep this varied

Courtney and Mike got forced out of IWABO. It was kind of bullshit, I think they really elevated that band and now that band is basically dead for 8+ years. At least we have Spiritbox
