In a sea of lazy re-releases this is shaping up to be one of the best I've heard lol.
Not only does the mix sound significantly better, citizen erased had some new synths and even some strings added to the mix or it was mixed so poorly before that you couldn't even hear it.
They could have easily just slapped some new artwork on it and called it the 20th anniversary edition and sold the exact same amount of merch and vinyls which is what I guess you think they are Cash grabbing after

That is very true. I think in the other version it feels like he's battling against a gargantuan wall of sound, and it's very cool.
The new one isn't completely scrubbed of that feeling, but it definitely loses its impact.
