That’s how I felt off first listen too but it’s growing, second and third were much better. But most of this album was super immediate so I think that’s kind of what I went into the new ones expecting too

I definitely don't recall anything on this being as good as Begin Again

I think what throws me on Pearls is the La-La-La hook before the verses gives a very basic “this is a song about materialism” vibe that’s kinda been done to death. idk I suck at examples am I onto something

That makes me like her more. The British are better entertainers than Americans by far

I mean love the UK. At least from a distance. Would happily jump on an opportunity to spend a year or more there. Wouldn't agree that they're inherently better entertainers though. Ever region has their greats.

La-la-la is totally a vibe tbh. Conjures images of free women going out and having fun.

SMH I mean that’s obviously a generalization I’m not saying every British entertainer is better than every American entertainer

I can't in good conscience support her british lifestyle choice, but I will always love the tunes

I was thinking you meant they were packing more heat on average, Potsy. Which I still disagree with, but you should always feel free to say what comes to mind cause you have a good presence lol

And yeah, tbh, I wouldn't pick to be born Bri-ish.

I think it’s illegal in america to not hate on the British but it’s odd for a Canadian to do so, we are supposed to prefer them to the yanks
