I wouldn't disrespect my dad by bringing Dance Gavin Dance albums into his house

Go to your room, you disappointment

Not done my first listen of this album yet, but already a glaring flaw here is the way they mixed Jon Mess's vocals; not a fan of the production in general so far.

do you have qualms with the production on any of their other albums?
this one’s falls under “same but better” for me, tho ArSe curiously has worse production

The end of One In A Million is really nice. most of the rest is kinda meh, kinda like a lame Summertime Gladness now that I think about it.

I really don’t get why people like Three Wishes. Tillian’s lyrics are awful, Jon honestly sounds bad, and it sounds so watered down.

Mambo No. 5 is catchy, doesn't mean its good (:
I don't mean to come off as antagonistic towards the album or be overly negative about it either. Afterburner has a few songs I like a lot, but I just feel like they coasted through the last two albums and am really itching for them to get back on track, especially after Mo'Ship and AS2.0 being so great.

@Vult they have had one off simpler tracks like Three Wishes on their albums since nearly the beginning. TW is well done.

Quit my job today after 3 years of a toxic work environment. And this was the first thing recced on Spotify so I put it on and in the context of leaving a terrible job with a shitty boss, it’s pretty fucking resonant.

Good for you vult. If you hate your job, you're on a one way road to misery. Glad you got outta there and hopefully you can find something better.

"but why tho"
too damn cyclical and not in a good way like say Carl Barker was, feels like it goes nowhere, Pearson vox is so overlayered and Mess feels so underused, tho these last 2 things you could apply to a good portion of the record

It's a scary world out there, but the risk is worth me not having crippling anxiety about my place of employment.
