Revisiting this for the first time since 2019 due to COTM...

I swear there's a few songs here where I feel like this is At the Drive-In worship. Particularly reminded of this with lyrics about stethoscopes and wishing wells...

& now listening to R/D & some of the rhythms on Wildfires remind me of "Enfilade"

Hah! Never thought of that. It was with this album they really started to get my attention. Been revisiting this after the absolute masterpiece which is COTM and this is def up there too

This obviously isn't Children of the Moon but it is still a fucking ripper of an album.

Didn't enjoy as much as the new one, but Cemetery Lights is S Tier. I can tell these guys are going to be essential listening for me in 2025.

Great album regardless.

Making my way through this band's discography and this album honestly didn't hit as hard as their first two albums. It's good don't get me wrong but something feels off with the production.

Maybe it's just me and the album is a grower. Children of the Moon soon!

Olive Tree/Planetary/Cemetery Lights are where it's at here — this one is best when it goes hard and flashes its delicate moments too quickly to take in on one listen
A lot of it reminds of what Circle Takes the Square went for on Rites of Initiation, but a lot more saccharine and less contorted

Bumped this to a 5. Listened to it last night and I'd say it is pretty much up there with COTM.

Not COTM level for me, but still amazing. Nothing they've done is below a 4.5 for me lol.

Damn. I’m here because scoot’s mentioned state faults in the new la dispute album thread

I take it I should check these guys out? Fuck, never even heard of them that I can recall. But I’m blown away by those album scores.
