Hawk this band and most blackgaze have always had indie rock in them. Some emo melodoes all over sunbather. This ones even closer though and adds poorly integrated prog rock tropes. (I swear there is some Andrew Latimer here.)

I like to imagine Hawks and Artis greased up and wrestling naked.

Indie Rock progressions strechted beyond the 10 minute mark over and over again. Fokking awful hipster crap!

There is so much positivity in this comment, it's amazing

Is 'strechted' a german word?

As much as mayonaise is an instrument, I'd say.

I want to listen to this again because something tells me that it is going to be even worse than the last time.

Listened to it a second time and at least to me it was even more ass than the first time.

"It's not that different than Sunbather. Inferior, but it's hardly night and day. Hawks is just mental."
Finally someone gets it. I just said the same thing some pages ago
Well except for the Hawks part

it’s funny because most people that dislike this really hate the first track, but I think it’s alright honestly(even if the spoken word bits overflow with cheese). Glint is ok too but honeycomb and the other straight up ‘postbm’ tracks leave so much to be desired. the term ‘self parody’ is apt here. these guys also need to stop jamming Radiohead
|
| |
First track is a ballad a la Dream Theater/late floyd + generic post rock. Yes its the worst offender here. One of the most torturous songs I have heard in a long time.
