Still not hearing the issue with the production. It sounds like many other major label modern metal album that have been released in the last 5+ years.

It's not amazing or anything, but it's with the times I guess. I ain't gonna fight it anymore lol. Album should make my top 10 I think... Though I can confidently say the title track is one of my fav songs of the year.

thought this was a lot more enjoyable that I anticipated. I'm not even bothered by triggers anymore, I've heard this dude pulls this off live anyhow so don't really consider it too much cheating lol.

Bloc the problem I have with the production is the fact everything sounds so plastic and artificial. Drums especially but even the guitars have that super modulated sound you get from using Axfx or other digital effects processors like that. You can just tell the producers plugged in each note. This band IS very good live though. But they also all use axfx’s live so even then you get the digital tones.

Therefore is an artistic band's option that you don t dig and not the production failing. I can see this wins a lot of smoothness and homogeneinety as the final result and looses a lot of the rawness, or heaviness from the previous. That said, I really dig those 2 releases diferently.
