That last 18 minutes of ascension is incredible. Ive seen them so many times too. Literally a life changer the first time. I saw so many people at roadburn queueing to say thanks to them and it was one of the greatest things theyve seen yet for me it wasnt as ive seen them so much. Its never less than excellent but sometimes its been a truly almost spiritual experience for real, I dont care if that sounds lame.. I just prefer them in slightly smaller rooms.

dude we get crazy amounts of shows too. Neurosis did 2 back to back shows in december and amenra 3 back to back the year before. And they played together before that. Converge always tour here too. And europes like an hour away and flights can be as cheap as trains.

To be fair Roadburn isnt cheap though if that what your talking about but I regularly take flights to europe for shows but I get loads of time of too.

A few years back you guys annually had Download Festival which was 3 days of non-stop great lineups. Latest additions of the fest has been really lacking from what I've seen in the past.

Download fucking sucks. Its like metal festival for those chip on the shoulder metallers who think theyre john peel because they have system of a downs discog. Security is up the arse. Apparently bringing in retinal scanning! I got a free ticket a few years back and still turned it down. So many better festivals in Europe but even UK We have MUCH better underground Festivals. "heavy' wise Damnation and Temples for the few years back among a bunch of other.
