The album before this one became my new favorite a few weeks ago, it just slightly edges this one out imo.

""trying too hard" - the band"

Yea they're pretty overrated but Act 2 rules hard.

I don't see anything wrong with trying hard on a record. Understandably some people may prefer a natural sound, I like both.

Great band, great album.

Act II still best agreed @Mongi123

the best moment on this album is when the riff comes back in the 2nd time in the most cursed of hands

It's weird, I love TDH, but I don't listen to the albums much. I guess this is a band that I want to listen to the album all the way through, and it's hard to find time to listen to them in one sitting. Most Cursed of Hands is probably my favorite track still.

Do you mean around 3:25 of TMCoH? If so, yeah, that's definitely up there. Although my favorite moments are probably the 2nd choruses on Gloria and The Fire Remains. Oh yeah and all of The March.

Edit: Oh fuck I forgot about "The spirit split in TWOOOOOOOO" that's also amazing.

@sempiturtle Agreed on highlights, this album isn't a constant listen but it still has the magic when I do listen compared to when it first came out... truly an amazing album

So, if I'm completely new to this band, which album should I start with ?

I'd start with Acts IV and V. The story of the Acts doesn't really matter on first listen, so you don't need to start with I.

act iv is definitely better, but not by that much. it's like a 4.2, this is like a 3.8-3.9

IV is definitely my favorite but the last 5 songs on this are easily better than the last 5 songs on IV.
