its genius for an american band to adopt this sound so perfectly, but this very much carries the vibe of the late 90s japanese electronic/pop/indie records that were so prominent during that era, whilst adding many new surprise experiments as well. didn't realize it before, but that is very much the artistic inspiration at play here; from the glitchy pop tracks to the hyper-rainbow infused cover art.
