The final song on the album, Faith in Others, is as powerful as any Opeth song. Clean vocals, full orchestration -but builds powerfully. A stellar ending to a great album.

Faith In Others is, as I've said before, one of the highlights of this album. Even if it takes its time to be appreciated, it's stellar indeed.

To the conversation above, SW is god, album will slay, story is excellent and band members are masters! I have to admit I'm not the bigest fan of the t/t, but the rest seems promising.

I mean it's good but along with everything else on this album. It's good. But nothing on this album is "best Opeth" material for me.

Bookends of the album are actually the two best songs off it. And I know it's not best Opeth, of course it's not!

nah, not the best. Besides, it rips off Harlequin Forest and has some awkward parts. It's third best, though, indeed.

Also, it would be blasphemy to have this and Heritage on the same level, as Heritage is superior.

Eternal Rains Will Come, Elysian Woes, and Goblin would've made a great EP. Moon Above, Sun Below has some great parts to it and Faith in Others is one of the best.

Elysian Woes would kill with different lyrics. I really don't like what Mike is singing. I couldn't get along with the song right from the start and even if it's a nice song....nope.

I had the CD on my hands and couldnt tell what band was it for a few minutes, even on the sides it's too dark/small to read. Got it as a gift with new Mastodon... that cover art rocks tough, and has the band name on it.
