the bass is the least of the problems with this album tbh

for me the lack of bass here adds to the dry, angry sound of the record

Damn finally finished jamming this and MOP after already hearing RTL and KEM. m/

I'd have to say that this one is probably my fav of the first 4 albums closely followed by MOP, then RTL and KEM would be after in that order.

KEM doesn't rule as hard as the others, but it's still a hard 3.5.

Great album for sure.

RtL > Kill Em' ALL > Master > This > all the others in some inconsequential order of mediocre riffs

Yeah I'm gonna jam the s/t too, but don't plan on listening to anything after that just based on the average ratings.

Glad you're jamming it Hawks, just blows my mind you've never heard MOP and Justice. I mean, most people don't become huge black metal fanboys without having a metal gateway drug like Metallica first.

people bitch about the bass a lot, even i did when i reviewed this in like 2006 but its not like cliff burton was geddy lee or anything, you could only hear his bass on like, 2 or 3 songs per record

i mean yea it wasnt always in the forefront but there was always a bass presence, especially kill em all which has bass up the chuff but on here its just fuck all i mean the only time you can even hear it is like the one intro and it sucks even more dicks as the bass tracks were so fuckin tight

i mean queeef chode m/

You don't have to have an amazing bass player to have a recognizable low end on an album. I mean most bass players do jack shit, but every album needs a low end.
