Ava House and Cemetary Gates can grate on me, but this whole record otherwise is so perfect I can look past those.

And I agree with the underappreciation of Tom. He's not as good of a vocalist as Greg by any stretch, but I feel like the arrangements and guitar licks on his songs are always more interesting and outside the box.

not that those records arent fucking great, but there's so many other records from this decade that are just as good or better.
also rented world absolutely does not stack up against the best of the decade
also the radio rock tendencies of ATP are a little ridiculous but the songwriting is pretty unbelievable at times

wrong thread but ATP leans a little too hard on its hooks sometimes, and unfortunately they're not all GOAT hooks. for mainstream-sounding rock albums, i'd genuinely take gaslight's handwritten over ATP cuz the former has better melodies and infinitely more interesting rhythms.
