It's the 4.5s who have the wagon, I'm afraid. We're over here in a radio-flyer racing down hills while holding up a stereo bumping "Gorgeous."

ITT: people giving this 5's because it's great for hip hop, but not actually a classic of all genres
that being said, i was surprised by how good this was, with more listens might bump my rating up

i like this record. only listened to 808s aside from this. what else?

uggghhh hearing nicki minaj's incredible verse on "Monster" makes me all the more frustrated that her album kinda sucks

IMO at least, part of what's so awesome is how it uses hip-hop and pop together. The verses of Dark
Fantasy hint at mid-90s hip-hop, Power has kanye using a delivery somewhere between singing and
rapping, All of the Lights is pretty much split right in the middle as half pop half hip-hop, and
then Lost in the World is just an insanely catchy danceable song, and there's pretty much everything
in between on the other tracks.
It just makes for such a fun and varied listen, too much hip-hop is too similar from start to
finish. It's also unbelievable how well these elements are all mixed together, and just how damn
good each individual element is.
Definitely album of an already incredible year for me.

Whats the best track from this album?
|
| |
Album Rating: 5.0
Runaway. I think most will agree with that.
|
| |
Runaway is the best track. Raekwon has the best verse (Nicki Minaj's on "Monster" is nearly as good). POWER has the best beat.
Also, there's something about this album that lifts all your pressures of your shoulders; I've had a great self esteem boost since I started blasting this a few days ago.
