I think Page kinda got stuck in the blues and didn't quite transcend them. He has sweet moments, don't get me wrong, but I feel that Blackmore and Iommi were more creative.

He just didnt riff as hard as Iommi or solo as hard as Blackmore

Yeah but Led Zeppelin had without a doubt the better vocalist and drummer.

I would say I prefer Geezer to JPJ, but JPJ is still awesome.

True, but Page made a lot of awesome acoustic songs and used a variety of string instruments, while the other two stuck mostly with their electric guitars.

I'd say Gillan is a better vocalist than Plant. Only thing Zep had better than the others was drummer. Even then
Paice comes close to Bonham

Me too, Geezer showed a lot more personality and many Sabbath songs were prominent because of his playing.

On the other hand, The LZ members who shined most in the studio recordings and had the upper hand, were Page and Plant.

I prefer JPJ's grooves to Geezer's, but that's just a personal thing. Geezer still ruled, and I'd say both were better than Glover.

But that's just me.

I was comparing Zepp to Sabbath, I don't know much about DP...

Machine Head, In Rock, Fireball, Burn and Made in Japan are the DP essentials.

I also like to include the S/T, but don't try it unless you really like the band.

And Stormbringer to a lesser extent. Ars might dig it since theres a lot of funk elements

Oooh sounds cool. I think I'd start with Machine Head though since I know like 3 songs on there.
