from sinking has great flow and chord progression and imo the most enjoyably intense moments on the album

Yea it's sweet. I know False Light was near the bottom of my ranking but when it explodes in the last two minutes is spectacular. And agreed, Turner's performance is intense.

PORCELAIN GRIN CRACKING ... INCEST TO UNCOIL ... Your laugh spreads yawning, BLACK HOLE FORMATION.. This track has insane vocal perfomance, like Aaron is tryin to shout his soul out. The ethereal moment after 3 min is especially suffocating, like it's the last thing you gonna listen to before goin to underwater abyss. Oh and the last 2 minutes of bass line and rhythm guitar section is what cult of luna and other post-metal bands copycated a lot.

The end of From Sinking is fuckin intense... One moment your floating through sea in peace and tranquility... then it all comes crashing down in a chaotic hailstorm.

Like snapping out of a blissful heroin nod to the realization that your a broke lonely junkie with infected veins etc.. that's always the scenario that comes to mind for some reason.

Wow hardly any love for From Sinking here? That chugged riff before the quiet break gets me every time

The whole Celestial is about how to make some proper chuggin all the way till the end. But still it has it's place in this feedback of ocean noise.

The Other was my favorite on here then it changed to From Sinking on my latest play through. I might have to bump my rating for this album. All the songs are soo good

I can't decide which one has more visceral vocals - The Other or False Light.

Both are intense. I love how animalistic he is when enunciating his words.
