I've always liked early Enslaved, Emperor, and ,of course, Ulver. Gorgoroth are awful in comparison imo.

They're all different though. Really the only album you can compare from those 3 bands to any of Gorgoroth's albums is Nattens Madrigal.

Well, yeah, they sound different but that's because they have their own sound and atmosphere. I haven't listened to Emperor enough to judge them, but I have heard plenty of albums that are similar to Pentagram.
