Don't recall ever saying that it's not raw at all.

Yeah BWP is crystal clear, especially by that genre's standards. It is super dense and atmospheric though.

It still makes me sad that Agalloch consider this their weakest and look down on it for being their most accessible.

^Really? That kind of sucks, this is probably my favorite of theirs

This is like their only good album so turns out they're best at making accessible music.

C'mon JT that's a ridiculous statement, even for you

Ridiculous that I don't love this band like you?

I was exaggerating my semi-dislike towards them, some of their other stuff is alright, I just never listen to it.

Check the mantle and you'll see the light if you're not a complete wanker

The White is actually one of their best, love the neo/dark folk influence from Ulver

it could be my favorite agalloch actually, just wish it was longer...but it's really not that short considering it's an EP

Why, thank you. Glad to see some others list that ep up there with their best work. I was a little late getting into these guys, but most of their music that first appealed to me came from The White. Do you prefer AAtG to The Mantle?

nah, i have the mantle 5'd. I used to not really care for this album much but it grew on me. I still think the mantle and pale folklore are their best LP's though and that the white EP is on par with their best work

Agreed. I do like this, but I think I prefer The Mantle overall. I feel like their best music always has some kind of acoustic presence in it. I probably need to revisit Pale Folklore. I like it, but I tend to overlook it for some reason.
