Dave is such a boss guitar player. He's all bout dem slippery riffs and pedal tweaking mind f***s. Him and Paul Waggoner are my favorite modern guitar players, and Johnny Greenwood.

"It's weird to think that Dave went on to form Minus the Bear."

Hey both Omni and Infinity Overhead have some really good songs but yeah I agree not quite Menos, Highly Refined, Beer Commercials or POI magnitude.

Yeah but when you think about it a 'math metal' guitarist parting ways to form a 'math rock' band isn't ironic at all.

That part isn't strange, but the part where a metalcore guitarist went on to form this really chilled back band.

Math rock and Mathcore aren't stupid terms because some bands really fit those tags. Btw, Led Zeppelin were one of the first bands to do math rock. Just listen to Black Dog, Kashmir and The Ocean.

Lots of scary riffs. I listened to Anthology Of Dead Ends tripping once a couple years ago I thought they were trying to kill me but it was awesome!
