1. It cost a million quid to capture the 'sound'
2. Jesus and Mary Chain, The Telescopes, Spacemen 3 were doing the noise/wall of sound thing years before and better.
3. This has rode a sea of hype since the early '00s I've had it since the mid '90s and always felt the same way about the fucker.
4. The opener and closer are great, sort of but that's the lot.

This for me is the pinnacle. The influences are there but this is entirely it's own thing and tries to be nothing else. I can think
of no other album that is so mesmerising and so effortless. A masterpiece.
