think tpab dethroning ok computer is def symbolic of a generational shift of sorts. i would def assume the large majorty of the rym population is in the 16-30 range and roughly half of that demographic has reached adulthood already having bought into the idea that this is the greatest album of their generation while not even being alive/out of diapers when that old dusty guitar album dropped.
