Prince is sublime. I about shat when they started playing it live in 2016. Chino jumped down right in front of me for the hook. I still watch that video on YouTube from time to time.

wish I still loved this as much I used to. some tracks definitely hold up (Beauty School, Royal, Prince, Risk), but a few just don't do much for me anymore. the t/t literally went from a favorite to a least favorite

Damn. Title track is my fav Deftones song.

Prince is fucking amazing and so underrated. Same with 976-Evil. You’ve Seen the Butcher and Beauty School are two other favs here.
I like the t/t quite a bit, but it’s not one of my favorites here. As good as it is, something feels slight and underdeveloped about it. I feel the same way about Swerve City actually, but don’t like it half as much.
Gone are the days of blistering openers like Hexagram.

I think their openers were always kind of simple as well as most their closers are kind of slow. Part of their game I guess

This is their peak in all honesty. I can listen to this the whole way through and I enjoy every second.

I would say WP—ST was their peak but DE-KNY would be second.

Risk never fails to get a tear out of me. It's my first time hearing the bonus tracks, pretty good so far.

Carpenter's groove on that track is killer.
Chorus is one of my faves too.
