He was piss ass drunk when I saw them open for Avenged Sevenfold and for Incubus.

The other two times were killer so maybe he only gives a shit if they’re headlining?

I'm seeing them June in a non-festival venue so hope they deliver. Will travel to another country to see them.

I’m sure they will.

Idk I really don’t think they’d postpone all these tours for so long just to fuck it all up

I've seem them three times in the past decade or so and have never had a problem with chino's vocals

The biggest problem with their live shows is they play the most basic ass sets. Majority ATF and WP songs, diamond eyes, rocket skates, swerve city... if you're lucky they might pull out minerva. NEVER any other S/T or SNW songs

Sadly never seen them although they’re one of my favorite bands.. fucker always skip my country on their EU tour or they play the most boring festival.

They did play Battle-Axe a couple years ago so that was cool - and they gave Gauze a spin recently but Chino couldn't quite pull off the high notes. Chino also promised on Mixlr they would would play Pink Maggit (the guy who runs the DeftonesLive Youtube channel has been asking about it for years) so we'll see if he keeps his word on that.

yeah i'm definitely curious as to what they're gonna play as that could make my experience go from ethereal to good but disappointing.

"Chino couldn't quite pull off the high notes"

I remember seeing them on the SNW tour, and he was using a lot of effects on his voice that definitely weren't on the album versions of the songs. A little disappointing, but if it helps him keep his voice it's all good.

Their setlist could use a mix up, agree with that.

Rocket Skates always bangs live though tbh.

Tbf on some of the SNW songs his vocals are kind of insane, I'm not even mad that he can't reproduce that live

Saw they played Lovers, so fucking cool.

Also they have a second guitarist now? Interesting.

Yeah it was kinda weird. The second guitarist would come out for some songs but not others. He came out for Rosemary but not Change or Digital Bath

Just saw genesis and lovers performance. They sound on point and Chino nailed it too. Good to see.

Yeah Genesis was on point.

Chino is starting to lose it though. He nails it when he actually sings. He really just skipped over entire parts of songs and just let the instrumental play out way too much.

Idk first show of the tour so maybe he’s just rusty. Adding the second guitarist was a good call.

Can add Genesis to the "Sounds better live" file along with Beware, Rapture, Poltergeist, Rosemary and basically every song from Gore.
