Sadly no one here seems to agree though...



There's just a punk vibe you just can't find in other Deftones albums, which I simply love...and those high pitch melodic vocals out of "no other band around" fits just perfect with the overall rawness



Glad they changed though and gave us Deftones as you know them.

I might be a bit biased too, because Adrenaline was literally the last Deftones album I ever listened to, and that was after I already became hooked on their more proggy/shoegazey stuff

Facts. This is why i can't really get into the majority of AtF either.

I can't help but see Deftones not only paralleling Radiohead in terms of influence but also in terms of their musical development... the third album was when they really started to become milestone artists

Also, has anyone noticed how similar their avgs are even?

Adrenaline and Aroumd the Fur are overhated but still two of their weaker outputs imo. Both records rule but theyre not the Deftones albums I come back to most.

I don't think that AtF is overhated... a 4.1 avg is pretty damn high. Even on RYM the avg is pretty good

Overhated mightve not been the best word for it but I still feel that even with the high ratings it does get pushed to the side in favor of other Deftones albums.

I should hate around the fur but I fucking love it.

It’s still got a couple of weak songs, namely Rickets and Headup, but I’d say the MX, The t/t, Be Quiet and Drive, and Lotion are all among their strongest tracks
