Devin Townsend described Meshuggah's sound as "un-fuck-with-able", I'd say that's pretty accurate at this point, crazy consistency. That groove at the end of Ligature Marks is just gross.

Thinking more of it I actually think this is also a lot like Nothing in its persistence and straight fowardness. It's like a solid, cohesive sound that they're known for doing. It still incorporates a lot of the recent rhythm styles and then some of the structure and atmosphere from obZen. But the persistent energy really does remind me of Nothing.
Im currently on a full discog run. Just got done listening to C33. Made me cry at multiple moments. Started obZen and couldn't control myself with Combustion.
