It’s okay lots of bands don’t reach the same heights in popularity as their opus but they’re forever on my radar 😁

Two listens in and this is at least as good as TWD, maybe better. It's tighter and thus more immediately evocative. The harsh/soft tradeoff within songs is smoother, although the transitions between certain tracks is sometimes a little weird. Amazing album. And awesome review.

I think the new Hath just edged this out as my new bar for the year. Which tells me this is gonna be one hell of a year for metal.

We'll, 2016 was an incredible year for metal, 2017 not as much. 2018 I don't remember too much from off the top of my head, but for sure from 2019 and on there's been a steady flow of consistently good stuff.

Love the way Mutual Ruin end with a calm outro instead of the expected guitar explosion.

I always want a guitar explosion though, but i'll allow it...

Tried a few times but it just never grabbed me. Plus I'd get run off the road if I drove around blasting this shit with the windows down. Gonna be a hard pass.

Nice dig Steiner, Lunarsea is criminally underappreciated.

Prescience is awesome... unlike that beer
unless the joke is that it tastes like (orange?) Lucozade, which is an insult to Lucozade in all honesty
