i think my beef with the production is that it'd have been much more well-suited had they not gone for the occasional 'intense' moment. like it's perf dream pop production but the slightly heavier bits just do not hit the mark whatsoever and it ends up feeling a bit flat (overall)

making music and realizing how difficult it is, leading to a deeper appreciation of other people's music which makes you more lenient with your ratings is actually pretty cool and respectable. Treating people who don't think the same way as insufferable asses is just full blown douche behaviour though. Well unfortunately on a site like this, the ratings speak louder than words. I don't care much for what you think, or feel, I care what you rate. And to rate this album a 1 seems a bit out of context. Fine, don't like it. But at least the band tried something and created something.
