I agree about From the Sky. I don't know how many times I listened to the ending in outright amazement. Also, I adored this album and have followed the thread from the beginning- from my memory, Little Snakes is easily the most top-track/bottom-track song from the album for you all, which is interesting.

Yeah Little Snakes seems to be kind of divisive for some reason. Personally I love it. It has infectious vocal lines, great guitar melodies, and some of the most impactful lyrics on the record; considering the reality of how Mt. Rushmore came to be while Rody quietly sings "You might feel cheated by its modesty/Pack the car and drive away" just...hits. The idea of something born of so much death and misery as being modest is just...I dunno. I gets me.

it almost feels like it would put me in mortal danger to admit here that all hands does the least for me on this album

The song grows for sure. Who knows, it might become one of my favorites on this one.

I'm so mad that they didn't use the outro of From the Sky as a theme for the song or at least have it recurring. It's probably my favorite 30 sec from the record and its gone like that.

did the same shit in Bone Marrow and that was also the best song on its album, hexen content all round

In Bone Marrow it was meant more as an interlude, on this album it probably would've had its own title but yeah that shit should've been way longer or at least recurring somewhere.

is it not just the intro riff in a different key?

If it is I'm not hearing it. The intro has a very odd unconventional melody to it, in the outro it's pretty much the opposite. Different rhythm to the melody too.

*update: Your talking about From The Sky aren't you.. Holy shit now I'm hearing it! Damn

I'm pretty sure it's the same key...

This album is a solid 3.5 and feels overall less forced than Kezia and Fortress, but I have to say it, if every song was like All Hands this album would be a 4,5 minimum. What a song! The best thing they have written so far.

For me the raddest album they’ve made by a wide margin. Brilliant.
