i will say, this record is one of their best. maybe their best tbh besides common dreads or their debut.

Mindsweep and Flash Flood are top 2 and then this comes 3rd unless we count Rat Race

I have everything but The Spark at a 4 or higher for these guys. Impossible for me to rank them (though this goes at the bottom of the top tier for me) cause Rat Race EP has Rat Race, which is their best song but then the debut, CD, and AFFOC are all so different but fantastic all the way through. The Spark is the only release I really don't like from Enter Shikari.

The Spark has some decent tracks but overall hard to compete against the rest of their catalog. TTTS AFFOC and this are my top three, but I still have a lot of respect for the other stuff. Mindsweep has two of my favorite Shikari songs.

The Spark is so chill and different, but honestly, it holds up imo

The Spark is better than their first 2 albums in my opinion, although they have some pretty iconic and fun tracks. Especially Zzzonked!

I pretty much only like Rabble Rouser and Undercover Agents from The Spark. All the other songs are just okay though I dislike Airfield a lot. I think Rou's vocals are pretty crummy on most The Spark and it felt like he wasn't really even singing. I feel like this album is a much better realization of what they were shooting for with The Spark and they nailed it.

I will say that I respect them for trying something different with The Spark even though I don't like the execution of it. I know it was a really personal and intimate album for the band and that Rou was going through a lot of heavy shit at the time so I try not to hate on it. Plus the songs off it sound really good live (except for Airfield cause that song is whack).

Damn man, Airfield was so good live and I definitely disagree with your opinion here. I respect your respect for the artistry though

That song just absolutely does nothing for me. I wish I liked it cause Enter Shikari is one of my favorite bands and I love catching them live but that album was a letdown. I'm not really a fan of Constellations live either so maybe I'm the odd one.

Agreed. Felt like they used all the best bits from AFFOC, got rid of some of the silliness a little and it ended up having a great balance and being refined.

And then I'd argue they went a bit too far in this direction with Mindsweep and came across a little sterile. Rat Race hit the sweet spot
