the song of theirs, "Crawling Back to God", I channeled the fuck out of Turner during that verse. imagine 6'3" 220lb wolfe meat growling as deep as the man with perfect technique, in the middle of the front pit when he handed me the mic. all eyes on me like that felt good. did the same thing on their next city over and did Endless Drone with them too.

I get some people's gripe when they're not into the band as most are. when you add and concise the best parts of extreme hardcore punk, some can feel it to be hollow by the end result. the last record of theirs, to me at least, blended grind, pxc, blackened dm, the body-isms all into something I knew since their first record they'd be able to pull out of themselves. it was fun overall, doesn't overstay, and the spirit of hxc collaborations live on thanks to their help and their peers.

Seen some people saying something about RYM going crazy over this. Well that is partly because of my review there. Which even the artist got news of and got pissed.



This is nothing more than hipster fodder. We all know that hipsters care nothing about music in general and are more interested in non-musical aspects.



Lingua Ignota is like the perfect shit that attracts flies. Here you have a woman with a past full of domestic abuse, playing her role as a victim thus attracting many people who sympathize with her, disregarding the fact that there is no music.



When your story sells more and is the focus of attention rather than your music, then there is no music, or at least no good music to back up your notoriety.



As I said on RYM, had it been a healthy young man making this shit, The Guardian or Pitchfork wouldn't have noticed this. But since it is a woman with a sad story to tell, this noise became the epitome of musical expression.
