worst 1-2 on the album right there!!
most memorable for days line here is currently:
YOU DON'T EVEN HAVE A CHICKEN ACCOUNT
WASN'T THINKING BOUT NO PENSION!

weird choice for a worst 1-2 lol, you gotta be in the .000000000001% of people to say that

probably re. shrugging at both, but one or the other does not seem far out to me and there isn't another obvious choice here. Rosa Parks is a film comedown after Return of the G and Bar-B sticks like glue to an annoying chorus hook to the point its verses get swamped out
can take or leave Synthesizer, but otherwise those two are the easy skips for me
|
| |
gotta agree on Bar-B and Synthesizer
Rosa Parks is a perfect pacing decision after Return of the G tho

feel like slump/west savannah are very obviously the worst 1-2 here. fine songs but the stakes come down so much compared to the rest of the album and their placement right in the middle of the tracklist + no andre makes it feel like an intermission almost

wack take, Slump is one of the most enduring keepers here, great verses and a legendary chorus. nothing else here has that kind of spring in its step, can not imagine the album otherwise

yeah bizarre take, slump is probably my most played here along with spottie and rosa
the baby noises coulda been left off though
mamacita should not exist

you gotta have something truly wrong with you not to love Skew It on the Bar-B, absolutely classic joint

pfft it's like a weaker ver of the ATLiens t/t of this alb - decent track built on a big fat fratty hook that holds up fine on its own but looks cheap held alongside literally any highlight track here. could see it as a bongrat highlight for the repetitive chorus, but that's about it
skew it on the B-Side and put mamacita on the tracklist twice tbqh

nah shit bangs front to back and was borderline revolutionary for having Raekwon feature on a southern song for the first time, whatever way you slice it its an important song on here lol

yea bar-b is a banger fosure
fun fact it’s chino moreno’s favorite song to dance to
|
| |
Album Rating: 4.2
lol no one's debating the Raekwon feature being an important fact of history, but implying that verse is the part of the song/album that makes your ears prick up is a real clutch
chino dancing is not a positive thought and might in fact entirely counterbalance the good karma of the South-East dialogue the song opened up

have reached a funny intersection with this album where my least favorite in context is probably west savannah but likewise its probably the song i spin out of context the most lmao. so evidently not cut from the same cloth as the rest of the material here that its kinda jarring here, but its also undeniably suuuch a perfect driving jam. kinda funny that it was cut from the debut since i like it more than most of that album though lol
