The title of the article is a big fat lie but it's rather interesting, nonetheless

"You know how I know the album is sequenced appropriately? It leaves me wanting more after 13 songs. It’s not a short album. And when you do a 45-minute record that does not leave you sonically exhausted, you did something right. There’s enough variety and emotional depth in there that it leaves, at least for me, a bit of a longing."

agreed hard

Worst two songs are at the end, doesn’t leave me wanting more. Length is appropriate though & I appreciate the variety.

Yeah, that's what I felt too. It's pretty noticeable when comparing to No Heroes, which is 41 minutes and 14 tracks but feels wayyyy longer than this record.

yeah, that has always been what my friends and i have said. we all consider that to be their worst outside of their debut but it might not be had they tracklist be re-ordered. if they were to ever remaster that album (unlikely) i hope they revisit the ordering

Despite JD & You Fail Me being superb records, AWLWLB turned out to be my favorite. Really enjoying this though.

mmm, No Heroes is such a beast of a record if you take it track by track, but yeah, the structure as much as the content makes it a tricky one to get into

Jammed ATF again for the first time in a while after seeing the amount of ratings and the average yesterday. It's still pretty good. I forgot about the thrashy/osdm solos/tone in a few tracks lol- they are good but feel out of place for Converge.
