I mean it's fine but the decaying small town narrative falls a little flat for me.

I'm honestly just not too keen on the melodies in Pine Point, I don't think they set the tone for the lyrics and vocal deliveries as well as they should. I would have been more keen on them slowing it down a bit more like in the intro to The Coast

It's more just that I like every other song on the album more so Pine Point is defacto weakest link.

imo Pine Point has some of the best melodies on the album. sticks out for me cuz i think a lot of the other melodies are kinda weak

I'm from a decaying small town and I feel this fails to deliver the emotional punch they were aiming for.

I also feel that some of the melodies here are a bit weak, which is why I slightly prefer PUPs debut. Tour, DVP, Sleep, and Familiar Patterns are unfuckwithable though.

now that the dust has settled from our Pine Point dispute, I do need to admit that, while fatastic, the song is probably their most all-out emo effort

i adore the first three but aint that keen on "familiar patterns" cuz the hook is boring and the song goes nowhere.
