Yeah the full art poster by Adam Burke would be sick.

Someone said earlier in this thread or another that the vocalist was a huge internet metal dickhead. Pretty surprising he stepped back into the ring after all the praise this album is getting.

He has a point tho.
Guarantee a significant portion of those downvoters just saw that it was metal and said NOPE without listening to one single second of it.
Or they heard like one riff and were like NOPE riffs are dumb.

Yeah but that's the Internet, what do you expect?

Nah that was in the Zealotry thread

@Spaceah1p that's part of the problem though, we excuse it because intwerwebz but that's not cool, there's still humans behind those words (most of the time), we should make a concerted attempt to be decent.
500 years from now if us monekys make it, everything'll be the internet, need to start laying a better foundation.
Or such some deep philosophical bullshit like that.

Yeah, I've never heard anything but praise toward DiSanto from a personal standpoint.
Also, yes, this artwork needs to be plastered on everything. I want a desktop background, a shirt, a poster...it's so damn beautiful.

Oh thanks Adr that's correct. Portal, I'm 100% with you. No excuse but that doesn't change my expectations regarding Internet opinion fickleness or conclusion jumping.

I always liked the production on Black Future but yeah Outer Isolation was lacking somewhat in that department. Regardless, it was my favorite thrash record of the 2000s until two weeks ago.

^^^That's the best when bands do that. Damn, no way Vektor can top this OH SHIT topped...
Yeah Outer's production is...something. I feel like maybe they were going for a recorded in a vacuum (of space) kinda thing and it sorta works. Black Future had a better sound but this beats then both for sure.

I can't anymore. Bringing the 5.
3:43 LCD DAT GROOVE.
Also, I'm kinda surprised no one has talked about that incredibly badass like middle eastern whatever the fuck breakdown at 3:52 on Artificer. It maybe I missed it.

6:26 of Psychotropia sounds quite a bit like 1:44 of Scavenger of Human Sorrow by Death.
Psychotropia lyrics go:
"In our time
We have seen
A new light
Of liberty
A new dawn
Now unfurls
We create
A perfect world"
Scavenger of Human Sorrow lyrics go:
"Live how you want
Just don't feed on me
If you doubt what I say
I will make you believe
Shallow are words
From those who starve
For a dream not their own
To slash and scar"
The riffs are different and slowed down by Vektor. And the lyric stanzas are shortened with Vektor. But definitely a similarity.

^^^Yeah I read an interview where DiSanto explained why they did that, seemed to boil to just shaking things up. Being in the same place too long was making them crazy.
I moved out of New York for basically that reason so I can appreciate that. They're only a couple of hours away from me now so YAY! =D
