It’s a bit more country and a bit less emo which is perfectly fine by me. I’m pretty happy with it on first listen, it’ll take some time to sink in but it seems about as good. Only thing is the shorter songs didn’t do a whole ton for me.

Totes. I like when they go further into the country stuff but that song just did nothing for me. Perhaps it'll grow. Either way—happy the record's here. I still feel like it's very much Cardinal 2. Like it feels like it could be side B of a double album. Which isn't bad. Definitely slower/more country.

Overly downcast, monotonous and boring. Some truly gorgeous moments can't save it from being as memorable as a mumbled "ope"

Rings and Portal are my two favourites—gorgeous stuff. This version of Angelina rules.

Rings, Intrepid, Thanksgiving and Darkness are easily the best imo. Angelina is great but bothers the shit out of me; it is BEGGING to be let loose and instead they keep pulling it back to downtempo at the last second
