And here I am, sipping my spring water, jamming pop rock and wondering how in the freezing hell is this viewed as any good.

Whispers is a banger wtf. The way the vocals accentuate the riffs in the verses I've always found simple but very effective. The metric modulation for the solo, kinda unexpected in a band like this. Also the chorus is extremely memorable.
Huge disagree on it being the worst song here. Though I will agree that Six and The Weak Willed are better.

I shall not object, the song simply brings me no joy. I still stand by the opinion that this record is massively overrated and way less fun than This Darkened Heart.

@Emim Idk, to me the next 4 albums have 1-2 good songs each. I listen to Two Weeks, Chiron, The Waiting One, Asking Too Much and For You pretty often.

They have a few good tracks scattered throughout their discography after this but most of it is awful.
I do like most of the songs on For We Are Many and Antifragile, but A War You Cannot Win and Madness I find particularly shit.
