I feel like the only songs on this that are really good are the first 3 + glass coughs, otherwise this is pretty by the book indie/emo. Much prefer how they transformed their sound and started experimenting more on NMG

Laundered is milquetoast. I said I like it, I still do but it's not what I'd ever tell anyone to play, plus the bass and drumming has that sorta boring comfort vibe as an interlude. I don't mind it. Crown Candy just sucks. I have to tap out after a minute. I never rated this album but I would have probably given it a 4 at least.

If I found this site sooner, I would have rated so many albums and changed them every so often.

This has a few rly great songs but overall doesn’t sound remarkable to me. Very typical sound of the indie emo scene. I don’t think their new album is the masterpiece some are claiming it is, but I much prefer these guys reaching for bigger bolder creative ideas than writing your run of the mill emo

Yeah I'm spinning this in its entirety for the first time in several years and I'm melting. Beautiful stuff, already bumped from a 4 to a 4.5.

this is great for 3 songs but then they forget that they’re supposed to put finished songs on the album instead of “breathy pad/vox demo.wav” over and over

Eiffel is good too ig

i dig redwoods a good bit. more subdued but would take that over the opener myself

outside of laundered i think this is mostly consistent til the end but it really drops the ball w the closer

damn opener on this is prob my favourite on here tbh. Redwoods is good until you realise it's literally Flowers Where Your Face Should Be by Wonder Years lol
