Oh word tbh I'm mobile so I didn't really give your post proper attention, didn't mean to come off as defensive/coming at you. My bad. I was more so kinda suggesting that shoegaze gets tied to soley alt rock when it's just as much a sonic exploration of neo-psych. It flirts with alt rock like it's the last woman on earth but I think that's because a lot of people use the alt influence as a silly way to differentiate it from dream pop
Also the way Tekka builds a rhythm and melody through layers and tension is very much reflective of shoegaze, it's just so fucking perfectly infused I never really noticed till now lol
