Cutting My Fingers Off might be my favorite opening song of all time. Sets up the whole record perfectly.

I think it's my favorite on the record come to think of it. When the drums kick in, I'm fully engaged every time. So fun to play on guitar as well. Dizzy is hard to place anywhere but top three though.

Now if only the rest of their discography was even close to this quality...
They would be like the best band of the 2010's for me. I still like most of what they've done (new album is so boring) but nothing touches this masterpiece.

Hard to pick a favorite track here honestly. They're all incredible. I Would Hate You is definitely up towards the top though.
Disagree on the rest of the discog lol but I know I'm in the minority. I love everything they've put out. This is definitely the best, but I really do love Good Nature and Altogether.

intrapersonal is my fav here but tbh every song (except for maybe lsd/diaz/thresh) could become my new fav at any point

I get it Jesper lol. Like I said, I know I'm in the minority on that album. Dunno what it is about it, but I fucking love it. Just a super nice, easy listen.
I'm curious what they'll do next honestly, not sure which direction they'll go.

I don't think we'll ever get a full return to form unless something tramatic happens so we can get the sad boi lyrics back.
But I don't wish that on them obviously. I hope they're happy where they are at. It's much better than being in a dark place, even if the music is in fact better.

honestly i envy you bandit haha. i do really like good nature though, it's no pv but they really nailed the ~vibes~ there
yeah agreed that they probably won't ever be amazing again, glad they're happy tho! also austin played some old old songs on a livestream recently which was pretty cool, idk if anyone saw that

Oh cool. Didn't see that. Yeah first three albums are solid, and I'm just now getting into that harder ep from 2011. Good stuff.

Yeah agree, I don't think they'll ever top this. They just caught lightning in a bottle with this thing. It's crazy.

I like the older stuff too, like Magnolia era Turnover is pretty decent. But I really like the more shoegaze/dreampop style for them. There were so many of those grungy post-hardcore type bands at that time.
How bout that Humblest Pleasures EP though? Those two songs are fantastic as well.
