This reminds me of being half-cut, fighting through a shroud of cig smoke to get on that dance floor. Place was usually packed. Sweaty as hell. Pints of flat lager slopping about all over the place. Trying to avoid slipping over in the carnage.

It's funny because the place was a proper dive. I went in during the daytime once and instantly regretted it. Full of dodgy old men. Yet on Saturday night it was full of teenagers. I remember once it was someone's birthday and it was like a house party where you recognised most of the folk in there. You could barely move. Good times.

I remember when this band played at my local.

Decent place for a pint during the day but absolutely wank on a Saturday night because it was overrun by teenagers who didn’t have a clue.

It was them cheap-o Skullcandy's tinged in gold. All the scene kidz wore them but they sounded like crap and everyone on the bus could hear your music. Mega.

I had a pretty nice pair with a bass booster that I got out of a vending machine at Macys. I remember saving up the 70 or so dollars for them. No regrets they got me thru most of high school

haha

to be clear ATD-I were not playing live, it was just a rock and indie night the pub put on. It felt like a completely different environment in the daytime

Say them play pretty much this whole thing on their reunion tour in the mid 2010s. Everybody knew the words. It was pretty damn magical.

Does anyone know if the double clap rhythm effect in Enfilade was the first time it was done like that in music (double time clap sample every measure)? That type of thing became popular much later so I was surprised to hear it in a song from 2000.
