I'm not sure I ever truly appreciated just how god damn mothafuckin' FUNKY Trampled Under Foot is until recently. Shit makes you want to strut and two step and let your freak flag fly baby.

Finally, FINALLY, giving this an indepth listen and dogging it like a good boy. It's good and fun like chasing my own tail. Kashmir is like silk to sleep in. Very Zeppelin. Much Rating. Wuff.

Definetly this or Houses of the holy for me. This one is a little overlong, I guess, so Hoth gets the cake
|
| |
I put HOTH near the bottom of their "classic" albums, couldn't tell you why it just never really clicked for me

Mh, Dio > Plant.
I never tried to compare the songs though. Sounds like a tough race imo, I don't know who I would pick

I prefer Dio by a mile tbh
Plant's live voice was always really weak imo

That's just not true at all, idk what live recordings you been watching
Even at the 2007 concert at 70 years old he absolutely crushed it

I mean how can you watch this performance of dazed and babe im gonna leave you for example and say his voice is "really weak" lol:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k-WSbMW7BPc
There were a few years after 72' where his voice was somewhat shaky because he had throat surgery, but in the late 70's I'd say he regained much of what he temporarily lost although he did change the way he sang quite a few of the songs and he never quite hit those screeching highs live that he did pre-72'. Still, he has many fantastic performances in the late 70's
