I retract all previous statements I've said bad-mouthing this band, and I now feel like a douche.
This album has grown on me tremendously, after a long 11 hour drive to NC to see my folks, I listened
to Impulse front-to-back intently, and it's a great record. The last half of Render the Void and
Pattern Interrupt are something great. If anything it's a great album to listen to while cruising 80
on the highway.

seriously though, listen to Andromeda. most of you will like it more because there isn't nearly as much singing, and it's more progressive

Actually the singing has grown on me, he's got a good voice, it's just a bit too auto-tuned for my taste. But instrumentally this album is phenomenal.
