I don't get all the hate towards Do it Try It. I think it's exciting and very dancable and I love the 1980s kid show influences in it.

I do think Anthony could have tried a bit harder with the chorus though. I like the music but the lyrics are kinda meh.

I thought the chorus was the best part to be honest

Solitude is pretty good. Kinda too melodramatic though

"Go!" is awesome. It's going to split a lot of people, this album.

"Go!" is a total track from a band that wants to be top 40 but has never really been top 40 before. He said the title of the name "Junk" is for those who listen to one song and declare the rest junk: those who listened to "Midnight City" from this one and didn't appreciate the rest. Unfortunately that has bit him in the butt because the new album isn't very good. He wants to appeal to a wider demographic for this new album while still trying to be "artsy" and pretty much all its going to do is alienate his fans from the start and gain new pop music fans in the process. He's playing pity party here and saying Junk will be this mammoth album that no one will appreciate but it's not because he doesn't have the talent it's just that he's using it in the wrong way. "Go!" is not a bad song. And hell if it came from Avicii, it would probably the best song from this theoretical album but from M83 it's weak and shitty

This album is one of my favorites of all time and I understand that casual listeners my shy away from its eclectic nature but dumbing yourself down to reach those people is not the way to go. Some people (like myself) hold M83 to a high standard.

Don't judge an album by its cover. New album is awesome! "Go" with the cheesy guitar solo is about the only issue

i think he's trolling all the new bandwagon fans he got when he released this given he's been releasing quality for years before

It's got some good stuff - no way should have been a double, plus there's some irritating moments too

Junk is worse than this yeah but it's not as bad as its being made out to be. His previous stuff was a bit more soundtrack based but new one is more focused on pop songs. And they're damn good pop songs
