this is better than liquid swords but that's a classic too. i find that one of the things that makes this album so perfect is its length. at 10 tracks it's very easy to digest in one sitting. unlike many hip-hop albums (even some of my favorites) it doesn't overstay its welcome, so there's really no filler.

same here.

one of the things that got me into this album was listening to nujabes. that might sound weird because aesthetically they're worlds apart, but it was the fusion between jazz and hip-hop on albums like metaphorical music and also albums by a tribe called quest that warmed me up more and more to the genre. if anything it was through learning more about the genre that led to a deeper appreciation of this
