imagine being white and proposing that lyric to a choir of black people

"at which point i want the rest of you to shut up and i'm gonna drop the 'n' bomb"

@Kompys

#1 on your list wouldn't be Phil Anselmo but U2's song Elvis Ate America where Bono sings the n word

Well, I'm black, and I also think that song's fine. That's a good track and the sociological commentary angle is cool. It's just the context is super important. Tbh I think it's a slippery slope with white people using the n-word cause in some artistic contexts it can be ballsy or have effect in some way. Like the legendary Chevy Chase and Richard Pryor bit on SNL. But most of the time it's just gonna be a misfire.

@TVC U2 is not on my scale because everything that comes out of Bono's mouth has a base level of vileness that even racial slurs are unable to rise appreciably above

Agreed, it gets the "don't copy other cultures to fit in, just be yourself" angle down pretty well, in the most outrageously edgy Zappa way possible

I feel like most every Sput user has moments where they go Youtube diving to the most obscure an untapped corners of the site. Anyways, I'm petitioning that we make Thomas the hottest, newest figure in Sputcore.
